Terms of sale and license agreement

1. Seller

2. Product and free trial

PST Lens is a Windows program to open, browse, search and export the messages in Outlook .pst files. On installation you get a 7-day trial with all features. After the trial, opening and browsing one file at a time stays free; search, saving, exporting, printing and opening several files together require a license.

3. Price and payment

A license for 1 computer costs €39.00 VAT included, one-time payment, no subscription. Payment is made through PayPal (cards accepted). The contract is concluded when you receive the license code.

4. Delivery and activation

Right after payment you will receive your license code by email. Activate it from File > Activate license using the purchase email and the code; an Internet connection is required. The code is personal and valid for the number of computers stated.

5. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

Consumers in the EU may withdraw within 14 days of purchase. Because the license is digital content not supplied on a tangible medium, the right of withdrawal is lost once performance begins (delivery of the license code) if, before purchase, you expressly consented to immediate performance and acknowledged that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal. For this reason, before payment we ask you to confirm it with a checkbox, and we send you a confirmation by email.

6. Statutory warranty and support

Your statutory consumer rights on the conformity of digital content are unaffected. For support write to info@pstlens.net; for license matters to licenze@pstlens.net.

7. License

By purchasing you obtain a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use PST Lens on the stated number of computers, for personal or professional use. Updates are included for versions within the same major series, as stated on the website.

You may not: transfer, resell or share the license code; copy or distribute the program to third parties as your own; decompile or modify it, except to the extent mandatory law allows; or circumvent the trial limits or the license check. Webstart may revoke codes used in breach of these terms.

8. Responsible use and limitations

PST Lens reads your files without modifying them, except when you ask it to move messages between folders of a PST: the file is then rewritten and, by default, a backup copy is kept (can be turned off in Settings). We still recommend always keeping a backup of your archives. To the extent permitted by law, Webstart is not liable for data loss or indirect damages arising from use of the program. Nothing in these terms limits consumers’ mandatory rights or liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

9. Third-party components

PST Lens includes third-party components distributed under their respective licenses (including XstReader, MimeKit, MsgKit, PdfSharp, Docnet/PDFium and the .NET platform). Their rights and terms remain those set by their authors.

10. Governing law and disputes

The contract is governed by Italian law. Consumers keep the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence, and may use alternative dispute resolution bodies.

11. Privacy

The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.
